Shipwrecks and cycle racing... whats not to like.

Battle On The Beach 2015

As many of you know I carry out all the photography for A Cycling and Battle On The Beach put us both on the map last year. The event could not have gone any better. Perfect weather, amazing riders and the unforgettable “puddle of doom”

Could this year improve on what became one of the most talked about events of 2014? Well, yes. It could as it happens, with over 600 riders this year the first lap along the beach was just amazing. A sight that is not one usually seen on the shorelines of the UK.

Pembrey is an amazing location with a stunning coastline, great woodland providing super fast single track and the added bonus of having an abundance of military history. With ammunition stores, bunkers and pill boxes just to mention some, there is always something catching your eye.

Howies for the second year running were the tittle sponsors and as always produced great merchandise for the competitors to buy. Even some of the Howies staff turned up to race this iconic event.

I look forward to next years event and once again hope we are treated with great weather, super fast riders, hundreds of smiling faces and fingers crossed a British winner!!
