A little fettling and bike set up is always needed before a product test.
A badge that many will recognise
The famous Drovers Arms, although it’s not served a pint for many decades

The German Village in the background was built for military training
Smooth roads over the Epynt always make for an enjoyable ride
It wouldn’t be Wales without a sheep or three

Heading back towards Brecon and the last light is catching us
These well priced sportive bikes were put to their test
Red flag flying means there is live training on the go….. best push on then

Always be aware of the sheep!!

About This Project

BikesEtc February 2015 (issue 4)

For this shoot I headed to Brecon, the meeting point for the start of the 70km route and testing of three £750 sportive bikes for BikesEtc. This was to be a circular route taking in some of the amazing roads and views in the area, including the Epynt. Famously known for its military training grounds, this land was purchased during World War II as a place to test artillery and for troop training. Traces of the past can still be seen, including the old farm houses and the Drovers Arms. With this in mind I was looking forward to including these building and stunning views into my images. How ever the weather was not going to help me in any way. With low cloud and a dull grey light, I knew my work was going to be cut out. It was to be a day of pushing my camera to its limits and trying to make the images as interesting as I could.
