The Grimpée Mynydd Du hill climb

The Mynydd Du is one of the longest continuous climbs in the UK, climbing to 493m over 8 kilometres and has featured in The Tour of Britain several times and was used as the venue for the 2013 Welsh Hill Climb championship. The climb is famous throughout the cycling community, with several switchbacks and the famous “tro cwcw” bend.

With a controlled start behind the Cranc Cyclesport van for the first few kilometres, the riders are then released to battle it out to the top of this famous road.

This year saw Dan Evans, the British Hill climb champion take the win, for more information click the this link to the A Cycling page.
